Shutter Speed: Spark at the Akron Art Museum February 17th, 2015 By day, by trade, Shane Wynn is a photographer, but I met her through her advocacy for the arts. As I’ve gotten to know her better, I’ve seen her love for this community manifest itself repeatedly. She gave our Knight Cities Challenge submission a great name–Unbox Akron–and her name pops up whether you’re talking about Highland Square, North Hill or downtown. This past Sunday, I had the chance to watch Shane with her two awesome kids 3-year-old Malcolm Gippin and 6-year-old Amelia Gippin. She’s a cool and fun mom. They’re lucky kids, and we’re lucky to have her giving so freely of herself in Akron. Here are some of the photos she took during the Spark Film Festival at the Akron Art Museum in conjunction with Nightlight Cinema. To see more of Shane’s work, check out her website or find her on Facebook.
