This Saturday, be sure to check out the PorchRokr New Belgium Beer Garden, located outside Champlin’s Cleaners on Dopler St and co-sponsored by Mustard Seed Market & Cafe and EarthQuaker Devices.
Why New Belgium, you ask? While the Fort Collins, CO brewery is not local, it’s a great company which shares many of the PorchRokr festival values. Not only is New Belgium an environmentally conscious and employee-owned brewery celebrating their 25 year anniversary, but they are also giving back a percentage of PorchRokr Beer Garden profits to the Highland Square Neighborhood Association through the New Belgium Foundation.
New Belgium will have some unique beers available only at PorchRokr 2016, including the last kegs in the US of Tart Lychee sour ale and Brett IPA. Other featured beers include Fat Tire, Heavy Melon, Shift and Citradelic.
Be sure to pick up a PorchRokr 2016 growler or glass, designed specifically for PorchRokr by illustrator Kevin Smalley. Glassware can be purchased at festival info booths, Ray’s Pub, The Steam Trunk, Jilly’s Music Room and Mustard Seed Market & Cafe, but Jilly’s will be the only location selling the PorchRokr 2016 growlers.
Mustard Seed Market & Cafe will be on site vending a tasty selection of natural foods. And of course, since it’s PorchRokr, there will be live music. Here’s the lineup for the EarthQuaker Devices Beer Garden Stage:
Copali – 11 am
Violent High Fives – 1 pm
Sons of Midori – 3 pm
Red Rose Panic – 5 pm
The Beer Garden, located at 941 Dopler Ave next to Champlin Cleaners and Blue Sky Art Gallery, will be serving New Belguim Brewing Company beer. Guests can purchase a $5 beer token. Come early to sample micro brews from New Belgium Brewing Company. To find out more about New Belgium history and core values, check out their website.
